one thing that is the same for the two videos, in my opinion, is that they both are very talented. also they both keep very good tones throughout the pieces.
but one thing that is different for this video is that this band has a conductor, unlike the other band. another thing that was different was that there was more than just one instrument. i think that the other instruments make this music more entertaining because they complement the flutes well.

The Same:
The trombones (last video) and the flutes now, were able to keep the same tempo and stay together. They had long and short notes in different places. They kind of had a split part (just the insterments itself) Both of the music had some places were they crescendo and decresendo (but the trombones had a little bit more, i would say).

The Different:
The flutes (assigment:4) had a composer. Also, had a little tiny band behind then. (but many flutes) The population, how many people were playing. The location of the the place they were playing at. How the beginning started like (t:started slow , f:started in a allegro tempo) Both of the concert had a audience (which clapped for them at the end) *claps.

Something that both the trombones and the flutes shared was that all of the players worked hard to do as well as they did. They also played their notes and dynamics well. A difference is that this video had a conductor and the last one didn't. This video also had many more people. They last one had about 7 or 8. The locations of the trombone players and the flute players was a lot different.

One thing that was different was they had a conductor, and a another was there were sitting this time. I also agree with the first comment that they are both very talented and they stayed together and didnt get lost. Mark H

What they have in common is that is that they both have one main kind of intrument tha is being played and the both are very talented.

What they don't have in common is that well the aren't playing the same song of course, the trombone players are standing up unlike the flutes and the video of the flutes have a lot more people and they are playing for a bigger aduince.

one thing that is the same is that both groups were very talented and that both (the trombones and flutes) stayed together.

The Difference
In this piece the flutes had more than one insrtument and had a conducter and the trombones only had one instrument and noe conducter!

i liked it a lot but the flutes had a composer though and they had a small band behind them. they both did great and i didnt here any mistakes in both pieces. by the way how old were the flute players

Same: They both were able to keep the right tempos and stay together, even they some harder tempos. The Flutes had to go really fast and the Trombones went pretty slow. They didn't speed up or slow down.

Different: The pieces played by the Flutes and the piece played by the trombones had totally different tempos, as I said before. Also the Flutes had a conductor and the Trombones didn't.

In the previous video, the entire song was played with one instrument. In this video we saw a majority of flutes, but we also heard other instruments. In the previous video, the band was smaller and had no conductor. In this video, the band was bigger and led by a conductor. The music from this video sounded tinker bell-ISH (classical) and the music from the previous video sounded captain hook-ISH.
Both bands read their music on a stand in front of them and performed in front of and audience.

They are the same because they both make the different sounds of the instruments blend togher.
They are different because there is more than 4 instruments in this video and there are alot of different instruments.

Different things is that it seems trobones play long notes and flutes play alot of notes. The flute is quiter. The flute notes sounds high and trobone dont really sound that high. Same is that they are on rythim, they play the right notes, and their both good.

The flutes are much higher and are more soothing to listen to. I also noticed that the flutes had a composer but the trombones looked more like they were practicing.

The are both amazingly talented at staying with the tempo.

Similarities:

1. Both groups use only one instrument (flutes have some French horn behind them... but it's mostly flute.)
2. They both held together very well, and both sounded like full bands with only one instrument.

Differences:
1. They play in different clefs (flutes in treble, trombones in bass)
2. The music style: Trombones were playing a more jazzy selection compared to the classical piece from the flutes.

there was lot of flutes in this one. i thought the piece was a good choice. the music was very good and it had great sound. the sound wasvery beautiful and i really liked this one. i liked this one the most. i thought it was the best. i thought it was a really good piece of music and i hope we can listen to some more like that one and i think a lot of other will like it to.

they are the same because they both have one main intsrument. in the band with the trombones they did not have a conducter but they still kept great timing! in the band with the flutes they had a conducter, but also in the back they had a couple of string instruments and that complemented the flutes greatly! in the end they were both REALY good!

Both are very talented!
It's amazing how one instrument can make such a lovely piece.
The difference between the two a definatly the type of the song.
The trombone song was a slower more dramatic piece and the flue one was up beat and sounded fluttered.
Both pieces were very enjoyable.

There were some obvious differences in the two performances. In this performance, there were more musicians, it was a more classical peice of music, and there were one or two other types of instruments playing along with the flutes, while it was solely trombones. Also, the flutes had a conductor and performed on a fancy stage while the trombones didn't have a conductor and performed in a room somewhere. The two performances were the same in how they were both extremley talented, they both had lengthy songs and never lost intensity, and there were many melodies and harmonies played by the same instruments. They were both very impressive and played by very talented, hard working musicians.

The trombone is much lower, they sound different but they both sound good. One is a woodwind and another a brass. i think they would be equaly hard to play.

The Same....
The same was that it was the the same group of a certain instrument such as the trombone, and now the flutes. They both were very good with the rhythm and notes. The quality of the articulation was good in both of them. They were very talented too.

The difference....
The difference between them were that the trombone one had no conductor and this one has one. I was also a woodwinds(flutes) this time instead of low brass(trombones). The music was different, but it sort of have the same difficulty. The size of the band was a tremendous difference between the flutes and the trombone.

But I enjoyed both pieces, and thought they both were really great.

That was cool when the flutes all had movements when they played, slow and wavy.

In my opinion the thing that is the same for both videos is how all the players were in sync w/ each other and how they all played very well. The thing that is different is that this band had a conductor but the other band didn't but they still did very good and played all the right notes and stayed in tune w/each other! Great Job!

What they kept the same was how well they performed! I say marvalous! And each set of instruments kind of had two different parts. For example, like how we have part 'A', 'B', and 'C'.

DiFFerENcEs
Well I love how the flues added that extra high sound and excitement to the piece. Starting off a little slow then increased in speed. It sounds much more fun.
Two other differences are that they are sitting down and that they have a conductor.

well let me first start out by sayin that OMG it (the flutes and trombones)had only one insturment like only trombones and only flutes and they both sound like different instruments and not just them selfs and the trombones had no conductor and the flutes had one and both the flutes and the trombones both sounded really really good and the flutes sounded like a ball room song and the trombones sounded like a song you would hear in a movie but both sounded really good and if we try hard enough we could sound that good and stay together

In the trombone video the music was more mysterious and loud.

The flutes were very high pitched and played joyful music.

The things that were the same in both videos was that it was just one type of an instrument but a whole bunch of them and in both all the player are very good.

-Amanda M

The trombones have a lower tone and the flutes has a higher pitch. I think that if you play the flute you can probably play notes faster then the trombones. One more differnece is the trombones were a little bit more unison. I couldn't see a similarity between trombones and flutes.
Zach R.

In this video there is more than one type of instruments. Also they had a conductor while the trombones did not. The flutes and trombones both had very good tone and looked like they practiced alot.

What was that instrument behind the flutes that was shaped like a J? I've never seen it before and it looks interesting.

The difference between the two were that the flutes had a conductor and the trombone group did not. The flutes also had a little band with bassoon and percussion.

The performance was the same because both the flutes and the trombones played different rythms that tangled into harmony.

Alike: First thing the had in common was that there performance had more tham one performer in the peice. The other thing was that the peice had only one section in the song.

Different: One of the things that were differnt was that one was played with flutes and the other one was with flutes. Another thing that was different was the flute peice was a more classical peice and the trombone peice was played in a more jazzy type theme. the flute one was played with a conductor the trombone one was played with out a conductor. The list could go on and on, but that is the most inmortant details.

I think they have only one thing in common and that is that they both have music. The things they dont have in common are the trombonist are standing up and they dont have a director while the flute players are sitting and have a director.

In many ways they are very much the same. firstly they are all excelent players! They play together and stay in tune with each other just like the trombones do. In both the flute and trombone performances, they have different parts and they seem to have many decresendos and cresecdos. This is where they both excell because you need everyone to make those parts come together.

As much as they are similar, they are also very different. For obvious reasons, the sound and the amount of players. The flutes have more people that need to stay together, but they also have a conductor and the trombones did not. For this fact the trombones had to work hard to stay together with all of their different parts and having a small group would only make any mistakes more noticable.
I also noticed one thing i liked about the flutes performance was that they, in a way, moved with the music and this made it very enjoyable for me to watch.I am very split though between the two performances because i liked the piece played by the trombones a bit better with their deep sound. All in all, the two groups are excellent and you can tell they work especially hard. :]

The two videos are the same because they both are very very well played, also I think that the peices are very soothing and the people who played them are talented, I think.
They are different because they two insturments have two very different sounds. The people in the flute video played it alot faster then the trombones did. The flutes were more stacottoed I think.
But they were both very nice pieces.

I really enjoyed this one... because I'm a flute! bwahaha. kidding.

But I really liked how they were light and didn't have that deep sound. The trombones had that deep more forte sound, while the flute kept it light quick. The number of notes in a measure was surely different than the trombones. The flutes had more quick notes and arpeggios. The harmony of the flutes were just as great as with the trombones. I was really amazed as to how their high notes were flowing evenly and nothing was sharp or flat that would stand out. The trombones had a more majestic melodic tune that was more just. The flutes' song was more of a fast and catchy tune. :) ye yeeeahhhhh tehehe.

Same... well things were the same is that they were really talented and played the piece well...

Difference... this time around this looked more of as a formal band with a conductor rather than the trombones. Another difference is that the flutes harmonized and the trombones didnt really do that but more rather have two different things going on at once.

They are different because, this performance has flutes and the other had trombones. This band is also very large and the trombone band is very small. This performance had many staccatos and accents, but the trombone performance had many tenutos and legatos.
They are the same because, they both used about the same tempos and they both had great posture.

Both videos; ALL the musicians are greatly skilled at their particular instrument. Great tone and the blend of everyone together is spectacular.

One of the most obvious difference is the posture. The flutes were all sitting down and the other instruments that accompanied it were sitting/standing. In the trombone video all the trombones were standing up straight. Another difference that struck out at me was the sound of the song and the instrument. The trombones had a very bold and majestic sound while the flutes on the other hand had very light weight and up-flighting sound.

The diffrence is that one has a conductor and one don't.The other reason is that they don't have the same tone.

one thing that is the same is that both groups are very good. they stayed together very well and had great tone. some of the differences are things like the trombone group had no conductor, while the flute group did. there were a lot more instruments in the flute groups, and it wasn't just flutes. there were many other instruments too, even though it was mostly flutes. the trombones had fewer people and it was only trombones.

Both groups were great and very talented. What was different was that the trombones could get lots of different sounds out of their instruments, the flutes all sound relatively similar. The music was really fantastic.

Some of the ways the two videos are same would be that they still contain only one instrument and
the groups each play difficult parts.
both of the groups must love playing a lot to be that good, and it sounds really good for just flutes.
Something different would be the sizes. there seems to be way more of the flutes, and also most of the flutes are playing the same thing at the same time.
In the video with the trombones they are playing at different times and different things.

Different:
The insturments were flutes with exception to a select few (I only heard the Timpini though). They had a conductor and their music was a bit faster. This was also played at a theater, unlike the Trombones.

Same:
The music was still difficult wether they had a conductor or not. There was multiple parts for each insturment and they were both played for a live audience.

It was good especialy for so many flutes. the sound was lower than i expected and they had very sharp notes.

Differences:
Well there is the basic difference, the type of instrument. but there are many other differences. in the flute video they seem to more organized like at a concert, i'm not saying that the trombones aren't organized or at a concert, but the trombones seem just to be in a room proforming for like coworkers are something. The flutes have a conductor but the trombones don't

Similarities:
Well they both are highly talented. They all stay together very well, they sort of complement each other when they play. Both groups are dressed up.
Overall I loved both of the videos
